On Friday, May 24, 2025 ScreenSask’s Executive Director Robert Hardy made a presentation to delegates gathered for the Yorkton Film Festival. He asked them to imagine the possibility of creating 1,000 new screen sector jobs in Saskatchewan by 2028, and turning the province’s film & television industry into a $500 million a year business.
All with no new funding from the Saskatchewan Government, beyond the Feature Film & Television Production Grant.
