Founded by Gemini Award Winning producer and 2nd generation filmmaker Anand Ramayya, boutique production company Karma Film is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and has been an active producer of film and television since 2002.
Karma Film Inc. is dedicated to celebrating diversity and supporting original voices, Karma Film and Television productions have screened at festivals worldwide garnering over 30 awards including 5 Gemini Awards(Canada?s Emmy). Karma is also a partner in Wapos Bay Studios a full service 11,000 square foot stop motion animation studio.
Ramayya served a term as President of the Saskatchewan Motion Picture Association and three years on their Board of Directors. By regularly attending markets and festivals, Ramayya has built strong relationships with a number of Canadian broadcasters, distributors, and production companies and is an alumni of the Canadian Film Centre, National Screen Institute and Trans-Atlantic Partners Program where he received high level finance and legal training in European/Canadian international feature film coproduction from the Erich Pommer Institut gGmbH of Berlin and Strategic Partners of Halifax. Ramayya looks to develop co-production opportunities with like-minded creators from around the world.
