
Thank you for your interest in running for the Board of Directors of ScreenSask.
The following positions are open for nomination:
- Producer: An individual employed by a production company or working independently, with a core business of screen based media production that is eligible for and accesses Creative Saskatchewan funds.
- Service Provider: An individual in industry roles such as equipment suppliers, production facilities, post facilities, animation, audio, audio post.
- Open Seat: An individual elected from the general membership of the Association.
Applications must be received no later than Wednesday June 18, 2025.
All nominations will be forwarded to the Governance & Nominations Committee for eligibility review.
Your CV, bio, head shot, pitch paragraph and video will be used on ScreenSask’s nomination website.
In accordance with the bylaws, nominations from the floor at the Annual General Meeting are not permitted.
Voting will take place July 24, 2025 at the 2025 ScreenSask Annual General Meeting in Regina, Saskatchewan.

You will be required to provide a bio, short description of why you wish to run for the Board of Directors, a 1 minute Pitch Video, head shot and CV.

CALLS FOR NOMINATIONS FOR SCREENSASK BOARD: NOMINATION GUIDELINES
ScreenSask’s Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for its Board of Directors. Positions are for a two-year term. All positions are confirmed annually by the membership present in person or virtually at the Annual General Meeting. The Nominating Committee wishes to have representation from a broad cross-section of ScreenSask’s membership.
Directors shall be nominated or appointed from the following representative areas or organizations, per the Constitution:
(i) Two (2) to five (5) producers; who shall be elected from members or member representatives who are either employed by a production company or working independently, with a core business of screen based media production that is eligible for and accesses Creative Saskatchewan funds.
(ii) One (1) to two (2) from industry service providers; who shall be elected from members in industry roles such as equipment suppliers, production facilities, post facilities, animation, audio, audio post.
(iii) One (1) to four (4) open seats; who shall be elected from the general membership of the Association.
(iv) Up to three representatives of the following union, guilds, and associations:
(iv.i) One (1) from ACTRA; who shall be appointed by the Saskatchewan Branch of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists
(iv.ii) One (1) from Directors Guild of Saskatchewan; who shall be appointed by the Directors Guild of Saskatchewan
(iv.iii) One (1) from IATSE; who shall be appointed by the Saskatchewan locals of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees
About ScreenSask
ScreenSask is a provincial, member-based non-profit organization that is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Established in 1986, SMPIA (operating today as ScreenSask) represents all personnel related to the making and exhibiting of media productions from beginners to veteran professionals. ScreenSask’s job is to be a catalyst for change, to facilitate interaction between people working in these media, and to help to create an environment that provides opportunities for the production, promotion and appreciation of media production in Saskatchewan.
